**Gale Winddancer** is the goddess of air and open sky — patron of freedom, swiftness, and the road — and one of the [[The Pantheon|Seven Divines]], the gods of [[Elandis]]. Her relic is the **Zephyr Quill**, a feather said to call the winds.
## Overview
Gale Winddancer holds the sphere of air among the Seven — the element of freedom and swiftness, of open sky and the road that crosses it. Her relic, the Zephyr Quill, is her most sacred symbol: a luminous feather the faithful hold capable of commanding the winds themselves. As one of the Seven Divines she is revered across the known world, her shrines found wherever the wind blows and people travel.
## Worship
### The Hour of Silence
Kept on **Airday**: temples, homes, and waysides are hung with bells and windchimes, and for one hour the faithful fall quiet and simply listen — to the wind, and to the world it moves through — trusting that what they need to hear, and the way they are meant to go, will reach them on the air.
## In Memory & Belief
Gale Winddancer is worshipped across the whole of [[Elandis]], her name invoked by those who travel, carry messages, or live beneath the open sky. Little beyond the broad outlines of her sphere has been set down in a single account; what the faith preserves of her older history is scattered and fragmentary.
