The **Reveller's Glade** is a loud, passionate, aggressively hospitable stretch of the [[Faewild]], governed by the Seelie [[Court of High Sun]]. It embodies the chaotic, unrestrained energy of high summer — a region where the very environment refuses to allow anyone to be sad, quiet, or still, and where that boundless joy becomes, for a weary traveller, a genuine and exhausting danger.
## Geography & Landscape
The Reveller's Glade lies on the eastern side of the Sundered Plateau, the great chasm that splits the approach to the [[Shimmering Peaks]] and forces travellers to choose their crossing. It is the Seelie counterpart to the [[Briarshade]] across that divide — where the Briarshade is colourless and predatory, the Glade is its blazing opposite, and the two are the paired routes north from the [[Gossamer Woods]] toward [[Sumara, The Shining City]].
The visual spectrum here explodes into hyper-saturated emerald, brilliant yellow, and shocking pink. Giant bioluminescent flowers the size of houses bloom continually, acting as natural streetlamps that banish every shadow. The vegetation is a thick, sweltering, humid jungle in perpetual simultaneous bloom, heavy vines draping the canopy and dripping with overwhelming exotic fruit. The air is hot and damp and thick with intoxicating sweet pollen that makes the head spin, and it carries a relentless cacophony — distant thumping drums, frantic panpipes, and raucous overlapping laughter that never quite fades. The Glade is home to herds of satyrs and centaurs, dryads, and powerful Summer Eladrin who orchestrate the endless festivities; all of them are exuberantly friendly, devoid of boundaries, and apt to treat a refusal of hospitality as both a personal insult and a challenge.
## The High Sun's Toll
The magic of the Glade strips away inhibition and compels travellers to surrender to the moment, often at the cost of their bodies. The ambient field acts as a metaphysical megaphone for feeling: every emotion experienced here is magnified tenfold, so a minor disagreement can erupt into a screaming match and a small joke collapse into incapacitating laughter. Navigating the Glade at all demands immense emotional control.
Worse is the Endless Dance. The ambient music is infectious, and the abundant food and wine are magically laced to flood the mind with euphoria; travellers who partake, or merely listen too long, find themselves compelled to join the revelry and unable to stop. Finding a quiet place to rest is nearly impossible. Those caught in the dance party through the night until their mortal bodies begin to fail, and the few who survive wake not refreshed but drained, suffering profound exhaustion and lingering magical hangovers. As with every court's domain, this is a natural law of the region, not an enchantment to be dispelled.

Faced with the Sundered Plateau on their way to [[Sumara, The Shining City]], the party weighed the Reveller's Glade against the [[Briarshade]] and chose the Briarshade, as "*at least it was honest about it's bullshit*". The Glade went unentered — its blazing revelry glimpsed only as the road not taken.
