The **Sanctum Canoporium** is the Nexus of the [[Circle of the Root]], the floating citadel-heart of the Greensward Canton in [[Sumara, The Shining City|Sumara]]. So overgrown that there is no telling where the building ends and the living world begins, it is the least building-like of the city's seven Nexuses.
## Location & Geography
The Sanctum Canoporium anchors the Greensward Canton, the lowest Canton of Sumara, amid bioluminescent terraced farms and druidic groves where the buildings are barely distinguishable from the living landscape. The citadel is smothered in moss, flowering vine, and luminescent fungus, so that its stone is all but lost beneath green; when it takes to the air, soil and trailing roots hang beneath it. Like all seven Nexuses, it can lift from its anchor and drift above the city, rising with its sister citadels to dock at the peak of the [[Royal Citadel]] whenever a [[Sumara, The Shining City#The Confluence of the Seven|Confluence]] is called.
## Seat of the Root
The Sanctum Canoporium is the seat of the [[Circle of the Root]] — Sumara's druids and agriculturalists — and its Meridian, Warden Sylvaris, a wilder, less formal elf who keeps to the terraces and stands as the most isolationist voice on the council. From here the Circle harmonises with the volatile magic of the [[Faewild]] to grow food and harvest the city's resources safely.
