The **Justicium** is the Nexus of the [[Circle of the Scales]], the floating citadel-heart of the Judicant's Canton in [[Sumara, The Shining City|Sumara]]. A tower perfectly bisected into white marble and black stone, it is where the Shining City weighs its judgements.
## Location & Geography
The Justicium anchors the Judicant's Canton, a centrally placed mid-elevation Canton of balanced, symmetric architecture and a formal welcome hall. The citadel is split cleanly down its length — one half gleaming white marble, the other polished black stone — with a great set of scales adorning its roofline, the whole an emblem of judgement weighed. Like all seven Nexuses, it can lift from its anchor and drift above the city, rising with its sister citadels to dock at the peak of the [[Royal Citadel]] whenever a [[Sumara, The Shining City#The Confluence of the Seven|Confluence]] is called.
## Seat of the Scales
The Justicium is the seat of the [[Circle of the Scales]] — Sumara's judges and diplomats — and its Meridian, Justiciar Naivara Siannodel, sharp-tongued and fiercely pragmatic, whose rulings are absolute and final. The Circle resolves the city's internal disputes, regulates the distribution of its resources, and would, in principle, handle diplomacy with the independent Fey courts beyond the Peaks.
