The Divine Way falls from the [[High Sept]], the vast cathedral of the Seven that is the religious centre of the continent, down the eastern bank to the cleaner Green Docks. It is the city's soul made into a street: clergy, scholars, and pilgrims drawn from across the realm move along it toward worship and study. ## Location & Geography The Divine Way runs down the eastern bank of the [[Luminor River]], the cleaner side of the city, from the [[High Sept]] on the high northern ground to the Green Docks at the river mouth. At its head the great circular cathedral crowns the Way, overseen by [[High Priest Oldir]] and drawing clergy and pilgrims from across the realm. The crowds here move with purpose toward worship or study rather than trade, and as the Way nears the water its orderly streets give onto some of the pleasanter waterfront in Val Miriel — the reputable Green Docks and the open sea beyond. ## The Quarter The Divine Way is given over to faith and to the learning that grows beside it: - The Librarium Valoris, a grand old library of thousands of ancient texts and scrolls, drawing scholars from across the realm to study among its stacks. - [[River's Watch]], a handsome stone-and-timber tavern near the river mouth, its great windows looking out over the water toward the sea — a clear cut above the dockside houses, and a favourite for the charm of its barmaid [[Lila Spring]]. ## [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]] #### [[Session 25 - The Chimera]] Returning to a city in disarray after the unrest, the party found the Divine Way blocked with rubble and marked with graffiti, evidence of the recent riots, with gatherings of more than six people banned under the crackdown.
