The Artisan Way runs from the [[Theatre of Dreams]], the grand cultural centrepiece of the city, down the eastern bank, gathering the finest shops, the high-end trade, and the city's cultural life along its length. ## Location & Geography The Artisan Way descends the eastern bank of the [[Luminor River]], the wealthy side of the city, sharing it with the Divine Way but turned toward spending rather than worship. The grand, ornate [[Theatre of Dreams]] crowns the Way at its head, and below it the street is the glittering face of Val Miriel: galleries of ornate craft, luxurious taverns, and curiosity shops, all gilt and velvet and live music. Where the Artisan Way shows its money openly, the Royal Way across the river keeps its wealth behind walls. ## The Quarter The Way is a place for spending and being seen, lined with the city's finest establishments: - [[Silverforge]], a fancy armoury beloved of the city's nobles, turning out beautiful, ornate weapons and armour better suited to a gallery than a battlefield. - [[The Gilded Crow]], a luxurious tavern of golden accents, velvet, and classical music, with the finest food and wine in the city — and, behind a keg in its cellar, a concealed entrance to a hidden world beneath the streets. - The [[Bridge of Stars]], a mysterious curio shop of magical artifacts and oddities, run by the charming, enigmatic [[Felix]]. ## [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]] #### [[Session 20 - The Streets of Val Miriel]] The party's search for armaments brought them to [[Silverforge]] on the Artisan Way, where they clashed with its pretentious proprietor over form versus function before finding honest steel elsewhere in the city. #### [[Session 23 - Ruby Falls Goldmine]] [[Trak Aeris]] led [[Eryndor]] through the Artisan Way and into [[The Gilded Crow]], where a secret entrance behind a keg opened onto the Nest — a vast underground base with a river running through its heart. #### [[Session 27 - The Wanted Dwarf]] The party returned to the Artisan Way to resupply, [[Dondar]] buying fine paper for his spellbook and [[Kai]] buying ruby dust from [[Felix]] at the [[Bridge of Stars]].
