It is a thing as unpleasant to look at as it was dangerous to earn, and it does not give up its contents willingly. ## Description The grimoire is bound in flayed human leather, and the binding does not let the fact be forgotten: a stretched face spans one side of the cover, its mouth open in a silent scream, and the leather itself grows into rows of small withered fingers along the edges of the binding, each curling over the rim to grip the pages as though the skin means to keep the book closed. A single silver clasp seals it shut. Within, the pages are written in dream-script — a swirling, restless hand that never holds still long enough to be pinned down. The letters slide and rearrange under the eye, beautiful and suggestive and all but impossible to read; whatever spells the crone recorded there remain locked behind the shifting script. ## [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]] #### [[Session 54 - The Crone]] Recovered from [[Ymrageth|Ymrageth's]] barrow den among the trophies of her hoard after the crone and her coven were slain.
