Hag-made scrying stones are said to see further than any ordinary crystal ball, and the Eye was the reason so little in the Barrow-Ring ever happened without the crone knowing. ## Description The Eye is a ball of smoke-grey crystal, clouded through with slow-turning mist that never quite settles. Whoever is attuned to it finds it hard to look away: their mind is drawn into the haze until images surface from it, and with practice they can steer the view, following a chosen person wherever they may be. It casts scrying for its attuned owner as often as they like, and the one being watched can resist it only by strength of will. A target who knows the watcher well, or who has left something of themselves behind, is harder to hide from. ## [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]] #### [[Session 54 - The Crone]] The Eye was found among Ymrageth's trophy-hoard in her barrow den after the party destroyed her and her coven, and was identified along with the rest of the loot. It was left unallocated. #### [[Session 56 - Homecomings and Farewells]] Sorting the hoard in the [[Royal Citadel]] of [[Sumara, The Shining City|Sumara]], the party confirmed the ball casts scrying as often as its attuned owner wishes. #### [[Session 57 - On the Eve of Hell]] [[Illythia Voss|Illythia]] admired the Eye and hoped the party might part with it, but advised them to keep it, protect it, and keep it out of the wrong hands. [[Ryo]] attuned it over an hour and at once turned it on [[General Korvas|Korvas]], finding him leading imperial soldiers through a snowstorm on the northern coast road. A second scrying found [[Vallania Miriel|Vallania]] stalking the alleys of an embattled [[Val Miriel]] at midnight.
