It is a lesser court of the bright fae — one of whimsy, fleeting beauty, and boundless curiosity rather than power or menace. ## Purpose & Goals The Court of Morning Dew embodies the gentlest face of the fae realm: the perpetual freshness of a summer dawn, the moment of dew and golden light before the day turns. Where the Faewild's harsher powers express decay or sweltering excess, the Morning Dew expresses charm and fascination. It pursues no campaign and seeks no conquest; its abiding impulse is curiosity, and its games are played for delight — chiefly at the expense of the bewildered mortals who keep stumbling through its woods. That those games can devastate the unprepared is, to the Court, beside the point; it means no harm, but it has no concept of mortal limits either. ## Structure & Leadership The Court's hierarchy goes largely unrecorded by outsiders, presided over by an archfae of the dawn whose name no traveller has carried back. What is seen of the Court is its lesser denizens working its nature at the woods' edges — pixies, sprites, blink dogs, and faerie dragons that remain hidden until a traveller does something interesting enough to draw them out. The woods' deceptive gentleness is the Court's nature made landscape. ## History The origins of the Court of Morning Dew are unrecorded, as old as its domain. It stands as one of several independent courts of the known Faewild corridor — alongside the Seelie [[Court of High Sun]] of the [[Reveller's Glade]], the Unseelie [[Court of Fallen Leaves]] of the [[Briarshade]], and the dominant Unseelie court of the [[Vale of Eternal Night]] under the archfae [[Mirileth]]. No grand high court rules above them; each holds its own territory and its own laws, and the Morning Dew keeps to its bright woods at the plane's southern threshold.
