It embodies the chaotic, unrestrained energy of high summer at its peak — a court of revelry, passion, and aggressive hospitality whose joy is so absolute it becomes a danger to all who enter its domain. ## Purpose & Goals Where the [[Court of Morning Dew]] holds the gentle freshness of dawn, the Court of the High Sun holds the blazing zenith of the day — heat, abundance, and the manic vitality of midsummer. The Court exists to celebrate, and it will not suffer sorrow, silence, or stillness within its bounds. Its hospitality is genuine and well-meaning but absolute: it demands participation in its joy and treats refusal as both an insult and a challenge. There is no malice in it, only an inability to comprehend that a mortal might need to rest, grieve, or simply stop. ## Structure & Leadership The Court is led by an archfae of high summer whose name no traveller has recorded, presiding over a domain devoted entirely to art, pleasure, and celebration. Its denizens are the orchestrators of that endless festival — herds of satyrs and centaurs, dryads, and powerful Summer Eladrin who keep the music, feasts, and dancing in perpetual motion. Exuberant, loud, and devoid of boundaries, they are the Court's nature given many bodies. ## The Reveller's Glade The Court is inseparable from its realm. The [[Reveller's Glade]] is a hyper-saturated, bioluminescent jungle in perpetual bloom, its air thick with intoxicating pollen and its ambient magic an emotional megaphone that magnifies every feeling tenfold. Travellers are swept into the Endless Dance and cannot stop, partying through the night until their bodies fail. The Glade's exhausting euphoria is the High Sun's nature made landscape, and the Seelie counterpart to the colourless [[Briarshade]] across the Sundered Plateau. ## History The origins of the Court of the High Sun are unrecorded, as old as its domain. It stands as one of several independent courts of the known Faewild corridor — alongside the Seelie [[Court of Morning Dew]] of the [[Gossamer Woods]], the Unseelie [[Court of Fallen Leaves]] of the [[Briarshade]], and the dominant Unseelie court of the [[Vale of Eternal Night]] under the archfae [[Mirileth]]. No grand high court rules above them; each holds its own territory and its own laws, and the High Sun keeps to its blazing eastern jungle.
