**Archivist Elrohir Gemflower** is an ancient elf scholar of [[Sumara, The Shining City|Sumara]] and the Meridian of the [[Circle of the Scroll]], the city's order of archivists and lore-keepers. He has spent over a millennium tending the stone-carved halls of the [[Sumara, The Shining City#The Mnemorium Canton — (Scroll)|Mnemorium Canton]], and it shows — posture bent from decades over manuscripts, counsel almost always delivered via a reference to something that went wrong several centuries prior.
## Biography
Elrohir is a slight, ancient figure: stooped, very little hair remaining, wire-rimmed spectacles perched above a narrow face. He moves through the Mnemorium's dim corridors with the ease of a man who stopped counting the steps long ago. The day-to-day administration of the Circle's halls falls to head librarian Aaroun; Elrohir is generally found deeper in, where the oldest records live.
At the [[Sumara, The Shining City#The Confluence of the Seven|Confluence of the Seven]] he sits formally aligned with [[Kaelen Vayne]] and Justiciar Naivara Siannodel — an alliance rooted not in ideology but in personal loyalty, a debt owed for a favour Kaelen extended long ago. He argues from historical precedent as a matter of habit more than calculation: a man who has spent a thousand years reading about what went wrong before has strong opinions about pattern. The difficulty is that the same habit makes it hard to look away when the evidence is clear. When pressed, his intellectual honesty has a way of getting in front of his politics.
## [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]]
#### [[Session 47 - Confluence of the Seven]]
At the [[Sumara, The Shining City#The Confluence of the Seven|Confluence of the Seven]], Elrohir argued historical precedent against [[Ryo]]'s claim to the [[Silmara Family|Silmara]] bloodline — only to be challenged by [[Berberis]], who asked whether isolation had actually protected anyone during the last Shattering. He admitted it had not. He also identified the [[Amulet of the Arachnid Queen]] on sight when it was produced before the council, and broke from [[Kaelen Vayne]] to suggest the Verdant Vault as an objective test of bloodline — a small concession that shifted the chamber's mood.
