Ancient and unhurried in her pristine blue robes, she has spent decades learning to read the history written into enchanted objects — a quiet and sought-after art in the Shining City. ## Biography The Diminished Trove is a dim, wood-panelled shop tucked into the Etherean Canton, its shelves crowded with curiosities both ordinary and otherwise. Levvel receives visitors with the patience of someone who has seen everything and found most of it interesting. Her method of identification is distinctive: she threads fine arcs of violet light through an object and goes still, listening for what the magic gives back. With unremarkable items she is brisk; with extraordinary ones, candid. She has a sensitivity to cursed or blood-steeped objects that goes beyond academic reading. When such a thing is placed before her, she does not merely assess it — she sees it. ## [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]] #### [[Session 50 - A New Morning in Sumara]] The party brought several items to the Diminished Trove for identification. Levvel assessed the [[Emberblade]] as one of the most powerful items she had ever encountered and told [[Eryndor]] to set down his component pouch — the sword would serve better as his arcane focus, and when he channelled his magic through it the blade pulsed with a faint glow and the sense of something vast beneath. When shown [[Dread's Hunger]], she gasped and pulled away: through the blade she had seen [[Ratha Silmara|Ratha]] and [[Rhennaya Silmara|Rhennaya]] killed. *"That blade has a long, long history. A lot of evil and darkness."* She offered to take it from them. [[Dondar]] also left with a Wand of the War Mage from her stock. #### [[Session 56 - Homecomings and Farewells]] [[Eryndor]] returned to the Diminished Trove with the girl Ellessa in tow; Levvel raised an eyebrow but asked no questions. Reading the [[Amulet of the Arachnid Queen]] more deeply than before, she found a dormant power in it that did not feel arcane, as if imbued by some greater entity, and whose magic came from the deep places; unable to pierce it, she advised caution. She saw at once that the [[Emberblade]] had grown and woken since she last held it, and asked whether Eryndor had changed his mind about selling — he promised she would be top of the list. She let the child keep a vial from her help-yourself box of mislabelled, expired potions. When [[Kai]] laid the severed arms of the crone [[Ymrageth]] on her bench and asked about harvesting the bones and making the skin into hand wraps, she admitted she had begun to wonder whether a psychopath had walked into her shop, but allowed that latent energy might linger in the tissue; once Kai had preserved the arms by ritual, she took them into her back room for him to collect later.
