He keeps the others on their feet, calls down radiant fire on what threatens them, and leans on a word of command or a wash of moonlight to take a fight in hand before it turns. Faith, for Kai, is also a calling he carries outward — dedicating the devout, counselling the lost, and chasing the truth of the gods wherever it leads. ## Backstory What drew Kai to the moon goddess, and the road that set him aboard the slave ship where the Bloody Nails were forged, is his own to tell.
