Severe and unyielding, she brooked no liberties from unknown vessels in Imperial-adjacent waters — and that unflinching discipline ultimately made her a threat the [[The Mawbreakers|Mawbreakers]] could not afford to leave behind. ## Biography Yarna Coldfist captained *The Devil's Wish*, an Imperial warship tasked with patrolling the approaches to [[Skyreach]] and turning back — or detaining — any vessel that strayed into waters the Empire preferred undiscovered. She cut an unmistakable figure: long black hair drawn back in a ponytail, heavy dark eyeshadow, an officer's pauldrons over her naval coat, and a captain's hat worn with the ease of long authority. The ruse — maintained through magical distractions and hasty disguises — failed to satisfy her. Judging the Albatross suspicious, she ordered the ship and its crew to surrender and follow her to [[Darmouth]] for detention. [[Barak Stormrider]] refused, and battle broke out across the open sea. During the fighting, Ryo trained a cannon loaded with premium powder on the Captain's Quarters and struck true with a critical shot, punching through the upper deck and killing Coldfist instantly. *The Devil's Wish* was subsequently destroyed when [[Kai]] ignited its magazine, scattering burning wreckage across the water.
