Patient, calculating, and quietly formidable, he is a man who inspires equal measures of respect and unease in those who serve beneath him. ## Biography Karr grew up in the underbelly of [[Valtorra]], learning the arts of stealth and subterfuge from a young age. He rose through the ranks of the [[Order of Ravens]] on the strength of his cunning and an unyielding commitment to the Order's code, eventually ascending to the role of Nest Father — a position that makes him both administrator and enforcer for the Val Miriel cell. Tall and wiry, with sharp features and silver-streaked hair he keeps tied back, Karr carries himself with the unhurried calm of someone who is never the most alarmed person in the room. His grey eyes are perpetually alert, cataloguing every detail. Beneath a composed, almost paternal exterior lies a strategic mind capable of ruthlessness when the Order's interests demand it. ### [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]] #### [[Session 23 - Ruby Falls Goldmine]] Eryndor, brought to the Val Miriel Nest by [[Order of Ravens|Ravens]] operative [[Trak Aeris]], held vigil at the bedside of his dying father [[Jarek]]. Before departing, he met with Karr, who provided a raven brooch and agreed to send word to the Nest in [[Val Aran]] to expect the [[The Bloody Nails]]. #### [[Session 27 - The Wanted Dwarf]] With [[Val Miriel]] under lockdown following the Bastion heist, Eryndor sought counsel from Karr at [[The Raven's Nest of Val Miriel]]. Karr revealed that [[Lia]] had gone rogue during the operation — rather than withdrawing as ordered, she had attempted to assassinate [[General Varan Brado]], a breach of the Order's code that left her detained and her fate undecided. Karr then outlined three possible routes out of the locked-down city: a smuggler at the docks, a climb over the perimeter walls, or the sewer network beneath the city known as the Underrun.
