A former village nurse who traded a settled life for the open road, she carries her healing satchel with the ease of long habit and her warm gaze with the steadiness of someone who has seen enough hardship not to be rattled by it. ## Biography Maeve spent much of her life as a village nurse before joining [[The Finegolds]] — less out of necessity, she would tell anyone who asked, than a desire for a change of scenery. She brought her practised healer's knowledge with her, and quickly became the caravan's first resort for the wounded and its most appreciated presence at mealtime. Caring and plainspoken, she is often the voice of reason when tensions run high on the road, and her calm authority has a way of cutting through noise that more forceful personalities sometimes cannot. ### [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]] #### [[Session 01 - The Rusty Nail]] Maeve was among the wounded when [[The Finegolds]] caravan was harried by goblin raiders on the east-west trade road. When the party encountered the battered convoy, she was already injured — and her condition was part of what convinced [[Gemma Finegold]] to strike a deal offering safe passage in exchange for protection. #### [[Session 05 - The Baited Ambush]] While the party and the caravan camped apart for safety, [[Vaeleran]] sought Maeve's counsel about his recurring injuries and fractured memories. She listened carefully and concluded that his symptoms were most likely the result of severe psychological trauma — a measured diagnosis that proved to be both compassionate and correct in its broad strokes. #### [[Session 19 - Blood and Sorrow]] Maeve was among the members of [[The Finegolds]] discovered held captive by the killers tracked into the ruins by [[Ryo]], alongside [[Gemma Finegold]], [[Lilliana Featherfoot]], [[Valen Leafwhisper]], and [[Doran Ironfist]].
