**Illythia Voss** is an elven archmage and the Meridian of [[Circle of the Weave|the Weave]] in [[Sumara, The Shining City|Sumara]], leading her Circle from the sky-facing towers of the [[Sumara, The Shining City#The Etherean Canton — Circle of the Weave|Etherean Canton]]. She assumed command when her predecessor, [[Ayana Syndrosa]], crossed into the Material Plane during [[The Emerald Ceremony]] and did not return — inheriting both a Circle and a silence she has carried for four decades. Tall even for an elf, she wears the deep blue of the Weave in robes cut slightly closer to the body than convention demands, short dark hair shot through with silver, and an arcane focus braided into her hair where others would carry one in hand.
## Biography
Illythia rose through the Circle of the Weave as Ayana Syndrosa's second in command, and in the years they worked together, they grew into something more. When Ayana stepped forward to lead the Emerald Ceremony — the most costly working the Circle had ever attempted — Illythia was the one left behind. She has led the Weave in the years since, navigating a council increasingly shaped by Commander [[Kaelen Vayne]] of the Blade, and learning to hold the Circle's interests with precision and patience.
She is composed in the Confluence chamber, tactical in her alliances, and careful with her public positions. But where [[Ayana Syndrosa]] was measured to the point of stillness, Illythia lets things show — the warmth is closer to the surface, and so is the fire. Composed neutrality, as those who know her well understand, is not the same as absence of conviction.
