**Hugor** is a teenage halfling from [[Lighthaven]], employed as an assistant at the Verdant Rose apothecary. Drawn in by the promise of prestige and a future in the Imperial ranks, he became an informant for [[Captain Lucius Draegor]] — a choice that brought him into the path of the [[The Bloody Nails|Bloody Nails]] and ultimately cost him everything he had been working toward.
## Biography
Hugor styled his hair cropped close in imitation of the Imperial soldiers who passed through Lighthaven — a small, telling gesture of a young man who had decided which future he wanted. Working the counter at the Verdant Rose, he occupied a useful position: the apothecary saw every traveller in town, and Hugor fed what he learned to Captain Draegor in exchange for the promise of a place in the Vanguard or the Imperial ranks.
That arrangement collapsed when the Bloody Nails arrived in Lighthaven. The party observed him in conversation with Draegor at the apothecary, identified him as an informant, and abducted him the moment he left work — hauling him into [[The Darkwood]] under a shroud of magical silence. Pinned and terrified, Hugor confessed. Rather than killing him, [[Ryo]] offered a deal: carry a fabricated report back to Draegor — a "lone elf" spotted in the woods — and walk free. Hugor ran back to town and delivered the message, unwittingly sealing the captain's fate.
He was never seen in Lighthaven again after the party departed. Whether he fled the town, went into hiding, or simply vanished into the countryside is unknown.
### [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]]
#### [[Session 29 - Lighthaven Awaits]]
Spotted at the Verdant Rose conversing with Captain Draegor; identified as an Imperial informant by the party. Kidnapped, dragged into the Darkwood, and interrogated under threat of death. Confessed to selling information in exchange for the promise of an Imperial posting. Coerced into delivering a fabricated report to Draegor as bait for an ambush, then released.
#### [[Session 30 - The Darkwood Ambush]]
Ryo, disguised as a courier, left a false letter for Hugor at the apothecary to maintain cover in the aftermath of the ambush.
#### [[Session 49 - The Silver Sage]]
Referenced in a recovered memory: Hugor had long since fled Lighthaven by the time the party returned to confront the blacksmith [[Dhorik]].
