A veteran of the Dwarven rebellions with a wooden foot and a mind full of structural blueprints, he carries his history quietly — and his knowledge carefully. ## Biography Gromdal fought in the Dwarven rebellions, taking command of a section of the Gemhold mines during the uprising against the [[Valtorran Empire|Empire]]. He was part of the force that briefly overthrew Gemhold and marched through the mountain tunnels toward Glimmerforge, but the final battle cost him his left foot. He played dead in the aftermath, slipped away from dwarven territories, and spent years laying low before his craft skills brought him to the attention of [[The Mawbreakers]]. Aboard [[The Albatross]] he serves as both bosun and resident engineer — the person [[Barak Stormrider]] turns to when something needs to be built, broken, or precisely destroyed. ### [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]] #### [[Session 12 - How to Start a Rebellion]] Gromdal was introduced to the party in the Mawbreakers' hidden basement war room. He presented detailed blueprints of the imperial bridge [[Skyreach]] and identified three structural weak points, laying out the demolition plan that would define the party's next operation. #### [[Session 13 - Waves, Wings and Sails]] Assigned as the crew liaison for [[Vaeleran]] during the voyage. He collaborated with [[Kai]] to draft blueprints for obsidian daggers, demonstrating an easy willingness to share his engineering knowledge with the party. #### [[Session 15 - Operation Skyreach]] Bid farewell to [[Dondar]] before the assault on Skyreach, offering a traditional dwarven salute and wishing him strength of stone.
