Barely half a foot tall and possessed of a tongue sharp enough to cut through ceremony, she has long since stopped caring whose titles are involved when there is work to be done. ## Biography Pip cuts an unmistakable figure among [[Sumara, The Shining City|Sumara]]'s healers — or she would, if anyone could see her clearly at that height. She carries herself with the unhurried authority of someone who has outlived most of the city's other residents twice over. Her grey hair is pinned neatly up, her tiny wire-rimmed spectacles are perpetually in place, and one of her four iridescent wings sits at a slightly crooked angle that sends her flight path listing to one side — a fact she ignores entirely, having adapted to it so long ago that she no longer registers the tilt. She keeps a miniature leather notebook on her person at all times, packed with illegibly small handwriting that constitutes her complete case notes, remedies, and accumulated expertise. No one else has ever been able to read a word of it. She answers to no rank and defers to no authority when a patient needs treating.
