A craftsman of genuine skill and easy warmth, he is the kind of man who keeps a caravan rolling — literally and figuratively — and who can fill an hour around the fire with stories of the trade. ## Biography Doran spent most of his life in [[Silverdeep]], where he built a reputation as a reliable smith with a flair for fine metalwork. He might have stayed there indefinitely had he not crossed paths with [[Gemma Finegold]], who befriended him and, in her particular way, opened his eyes to a wider world. She offered him a place with her caravan: steady work tending the wagons and horses, fair pay, and the promise of adventure along the road. He accepted, and has not looked back. On the caravan he serves as blacksmith and wagon-wright — repairing broken axles, reshoing horses, sizing armour, and appraising metalwork when it crosses his path.
