Stern, arrogant, and poorly liked, he embodied the Empire's indifference to the town it claimed to protect — more concerned with extending its influence than with the actual struggles of the people under his watch. ## Biography Draegor cut an imposing figure in armour that was always conspicuously clean — immaculate to the point of absurdity for an officer posted on a dangerous frontier. He wore that cleanliness like a status symbol, a silent statement that he was above the muck and toil of Lighthaven's daily fight for survival. The townsfolk held him in open contempt, directing their loyalty and gratitude toward the Duskwardens who actually bled for the town, not the imperial soldiers who lounged in the barracks and drew the Empire's coin. Draegor's primary initiative in Lighthaven was cultivating a network of civilian informants — local residents who would report on travellers, suspected rebels, and persons of interest to the Empire. One such informant was [[Hugor]], a young halfling apothecary's assistant whom Draegor had recruited with promises of prestige and adventure. Through Hugor, Draegor was responsible for the earlier arrest of [[Ryo]], a ranger with a growing reputation among the Rebellion. That arrest would prove to be his undoing. ### [[The Bloody Nails|Campaign: The Bloody Nails]] #### [[Session 29 - Lighthaven Awaits]] Draegor was observed by the party at the Verdant Rose apothecary, chatting casually with Hugor. Recognising the young halfling as a likely informant, the party abducted Hugor and forced him to deliver false intelligence to Draegor — a fabricated report of a lone elf camping in the woods outside town — designed to lure the garrison into an ambush. #### [[Session 30 - The Darkwood Ambush]] Draegor led his soldiers into [[The Darkwood]] in response to Hugor's report and walked directly into the party's kill zone. He fell immediately into a concealed pit trap, was incapacitated by a *Hideous Laughter* spell, and was pinned to the ground with an *Immovable Rod* while his squad was annihilated around him. Pinned and helpless, he was interrogated by Ryo, revealing that it was [[Dhorik]], the local blacksmith, who had betrayed the ranger to the Empire. Ryo executed him shortly after. #### [[Session 32 - The Road to Point Blackrock]] Draegor's severed head was left at the Ironclad Forge alongside the unconscious Dhorik when the party fled Lighthaven — a deliberate message about the cost of collaborating with the Empire.
